Job Description

o Start day in PMD (surgeon charge rounding tool)

o Coding Daily with strong accuracy

o Communicate back and forth with physicians often, code cases, and work edits, review submitted charges

o Surgeons sign off

o Billing practices for bundling

o Once they charge and hit the billing systems, they will review and move all edits so claims can drop

o Looking at outstanding holds and charges (missing slips) and update reports accordingly

o Updating reports and Tracking using the production sheet

o Weekly huddle with supervisor, bi-weekly huddle with the entire team

o Reports to supervisor who will report to coding manager

Skills and Requirements

o CPC or CCS cert

o 2 years of surgery coding experience in a pro-fee setting

o Recent Urology and Gynecology Coding Experience

o Tech Savvy

o Meet and maintain 95% Quality Accuracy Standard o Athena Experience (EMR)

o Strong Multi-Specialty background null
