Description We are in search of a dedicated Medical Billing/Claims/Collections professional to join our non-profit team based in Texas City, Texas. This role involves managing insurance claims, denials, and medical billing tasks within a healthcare setting. The position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be primarily based in our office and work with the NextGen system.

Responsibilities:

• Handle insurance claims and denials proficiently

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of medical billing and coding

• Leverage NextGen system for task-based billing functions

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in medical denials

• Monitor and manage insurance denials, escalating issues where necessary

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all billing activities

• Collaborate with the team to improve billing processes and procedures

• Respond to any inquiries related to insurance claims, denials, and medical billing

• Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with industry regulations and guidelines. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in Medical Billing/Claims/Collections.

• Proficient in handling Insurance Claims and Insurance Denials.

• Experience in dealing with Medical Denials.

• Skilled in using NextGen software.

• Comprehensive understanding of Medical Billing procedures.

• Knowledge of Medical Coding standards and regulations.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
