This is a job for an Engineer, Quality Munitions with a company in the Texarkana, TX area.

Job Summary: Quality Engineers develop, monitor and improve the inspection and testing methods that are used to identify product defects and problems within the process.

Responsibilities: Develops and submits technical plans and procedures that address inspection and testing required by product specifications and drawings and comply with customer and internal guidelines. Evaluates methods used to sample, test and inspect products and champions process improvements. Analyzes inspection and testing data to identify areas that require improvement. Analyzes inspection and testing data to investigate the cause of defective products. Develops and submits associated corrective and preventative action documents and failure analysis reports. Evaluates raw materials, processes, machinery and equipment as potential causes of defective products. Develops and submits associated corrective and preventative action documents and failure analysis reports. Participates in continual improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce or eliminate scrap and rework.

Qualifications: BS in Engineering or related field. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Technical Writing preferred. Length of Experience: Four years or entry level, if education includes strong background in Statistics or Technical Writing. Certifications: ASQ Certification(s) Desired.
