About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Responsibilities Determine work sequences of repair projects. Select and use sophisticated test equipment. Operate combat vehicle systems for testing purposes. Utilize drawings and computer printouts to diagnose problems. Devise and recommend new and modified test and repair procedures. Determine feasibility and cost effectiveness of making needed repairs. Modify and/or integrate equipment and subsystems into existing systems. Modify launching systems as needed per designated program requirements. The ability to perform common Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic tasks which include: repairing and maintaining integrated electronic systems. I can demonstrate how to troubleshoot and repair electronic warfare or multiple integrated electronic systems composed of several systems which are closely interrelated and interdependent. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to ensure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Occasionally lifts heavier items with assistance. Employee is expected to climb onto equipment, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Works, as required, in cramped or awkward positions. Occasionally work in high places may be required. Working Conditions: Work is usually performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas.
