MasteryPrep, the leading test prep provider in the nation, is seeking enthusiastic, engaging individuals to teach our mastery-based ACT/SAT curriculum in person at schools across the South and Southeast regions. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to build your resume, develop key skills like public speaking and leadership, and make a lasting impact on students’ lives.

This is a seasonal contract role, with contracts beginning in October/November and paid development training occurring during the remainder of Fall Semester and over Winter Break. You’ll begin delivering our Boot Camps to high school students in January/February with work opportunities anticipated through April.

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach engaging and impactful in-person lessons using MasteryPrep's curriculum for standardized exams like the ACT and SAT.

  • Inspire and motivate students with dynamic and interactive presentations that bring test prep content to life.

  • Cover a variety of subject areas, focusing on specific strategies that are proven to help students succeed.

  • Travel to various high schools in your area for in-person instruction, with all travel accommodations provided by MasteryPrep.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program (undergraduate or graduate -- all majors)

  • Minimum ACT score of 26 or SAT score of 1200

  • Engaging and dynamic presentation style, comfortable speaking in front of large groups

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for helping others

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm for education, and a desire to make a difference

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Availability to attend training sessions starting in October (paid) and deliver instruction starting in January/February

  • Willingness to travel locally for in-person instruction

  • A valid U.S. driver's license and access to a personal vehicle

  • Currently residing in TX, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, NC or SC

  • Compassion for all learners, including those from diverse backgrounds and with different learning styles

  • Deep belief in the potential of all students and a passion for MasteryPrep’s mission

Benefits

This is a 1099 contract position. Most events pay $250 per day ($40/hour) for in-person instruction.
