Robert Half is working with a construction company who is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join the team based in Tenino, Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of accounting functions, from accounts payable and receivable, auditing, billing, to full cycle accounting. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of job cost accounting, accrual accounting, and the ability to prepare financial statements. This is a permanent opportunity and will be fully on-site in the Tenino, WA area.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee and manage a range of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications and maintain precise customer credit records.

• Conduct regular auditing and prepare financial statements to ensure financial transparency and compliance.

• Handle all billing functions and ensure the accuracy of all journal entries.

• Lead and manage job cost and cost accounting tasks, ensuring a thorough understanding of job cost accounting.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.

• Monitor and manage credit facilities, ensuring the company's financial operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

• Execute full cycle accounting, maintaining an accurate record of all financial transactions.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments, ensuring the company's financial stability.

• Work with the external CPA on year-end and tax-related activities.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$145,000 (depending on relevant experience, education, professional designations, etc). Benefits offered with this position include a Key Man insurance policy with a high amount of flexibility. PTO is negotiable within that policy as well, with a minimum PTO of 2 weeks with 8 paid holidays.

Requirements

• An associates or Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred, but not required.

• Any additional designations (CPA. CMA, MBA) will be strongly considered.

• Knowledge of job cost and cost accounting is required.

• Accounting experience in a construction environment is preferred, but not required.

• Proficiency in managing all accounting functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Knowledge and understanding of auditing practices.

• Ability to handle billing functions efficiently.

• Experience in preparing financial statements.

• Proficiency in making journal entries.

• Experience in full cycle accounting.

• Ability to manage payroll effectively.

• Understanding of internal control procedures.

• Experience in managing credit facility.

• Proficiency in accrual accounting.
