nVent Production Supervisor in Tempe, Arizona

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Provide motivational leadership and communication to all hourly employees to ensure understanding and attainment site objectives to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure accurate staffing levels, quality and quantity, to meet customer requirements and achieve productivity targets.

  • Evaluate performance and develop the operations team by providing training, coaching, and correcting as appropriate.

  • Assures a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedure. Take active role in safety awareness and accident prevention.

  • Lead and manage all production resources to ensure the achievement of all committed Key Performances Indices (KPI’s).

  • Define manufacturing improvement goals and supporting programs to reduce setup, improve efficiency and quality, reduce manufacturing cycle time, lower conversion costs, minimize machine downtime and achieve on time delivery.

YOU HAVE:

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful

  • Ideally 1+ years of direct leadership or management experience is helpful

  • Ability to use experience to troubleshoot and improve or create new processes.

  • Communicate effectively through written and oral platforms; as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner

  • Conduct leadership abilities in fair and consistent manners in accordance to company values, policies and procedures

  • Bend, squat down, and reach above your head

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
