Financial Reporting Solutions Consulting Manager Responsibilities:

The Financial Reporting Solutions Consulting Manager is a subject matter expert in equity compensation expensing and financial reporting. In this role, you will serve as a dedicated resource to multiple Morgan Stanley at Work clients, assisting them with utilizing Equity Edge Online (EEO) or Shareworks for their expensing and financial reporting needs. Client’s needs and challenges vary; you will often interpret client's reporting and data requirements to determine how to best meet the desired expensing in EEO or Shareworks. The Consulting Manager may also need to troubleshoot and determine the root cause of a client’s equity expensing and reporting issue(s). A large component of the role is custom service followed by training and transfer of EEO or Shareworks and equity knowledge to the client, as well as supporting internal partners. This role includes opportunities to present at conferences, client meetings, and deliver virtual presentations on equity compensation and Morgan Stanley at Work’s tools and services.

TheFinancial Reporting Solutions Consulting Manager is part ofthe Financial Reporting Solutions Practice which is part of the Advanced Solutions group within the Morgan Stanley at Work organization. The Advanced Solutions group provides subject matter expertise to clients’ most complex problems by supporting Administrative, Automation, Data and Financial Reporting solutions. The Financial Reporting Consulting Manager does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice as part of the consulting services that his or her team provides. This position will report into the Practice Leader for Financial Reporting Solutions.

The Financial Reporting Solutions Consulting Manager:

· Supports Corporate Service Organization in providing a clear, compelling and articulate explanation of our financial reporting value proposition to prospective and/or existing clients

· Assists in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision makers

· Seeks to develop key industry contacts that will assist in building effective relationships and support the close of sales or strengthen existing client relationships

· Helps identify services to meet client needs, define methodologies and best practices to deliver those services, and participate in industry events as a subject matter expert

· Supports the identification and documentation of FAQs and solutions for financial reporting topics and best practices

· Assists in the creation of materials for internal trainings to expand EEO financial reporting knowledge

· Assists with external documentation and training efforts to enhance client’s reporting experience

· Researches, reconciles and resolves reporting issues submitted by clients

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field is required, a Master’s degree as a plus

· 5 - 10 years of combined experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, FP&A and/or equity compensation

· Experience in customer service / a client-facing role with an aptitude for understanding and responding to client needs with relevant solutions based on knowledge of businesses, products, and services · Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task across multiple assignments · Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in a variety of client settings · Ability to proactively identify potential risks and issues and develop courses of action to resolve · Enthusiastic and creative individual who is comfortable with rapidly engaging in new client environments · Self-directed and results oriented by setting clear and realistic goals to address client needs · Strong teamwork skills with the ability to problem solve, learn quickly, share knowledge, and adapt to changing priorities · Certified Equity Compensation Professional preferred · Working knowledge of equity-related accounting, tax, and legal concepts, both domestic and international in scope · Knowledgeable on Equity Edge Online, Shareworks and/or other stock plan administration systems . · Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% · CEP Level 1 required; CEP Level 3 preferred · CPA preferred
