Deloitte Crisis & Resilience - Specialist Leader in Tempe, Arizona
Our Crisis & Resilience practice provides a portfolio of services that help us minimize the impact of a disruptive event for our clients. We are seeing an increased need to provide specific insights into their applications and technology that help senior executives understand the relationships between Crisis & Resilience planning, operations, testing, and recovery. We are looking for a technology leader to join our team who has a clear understanding of systems and technologies found in a contemporary data center and cloud environments and is able to provide technical insights and industry subject matter expertise to our sales and delivery teams and clients. Responsibilities will include leading highly technical discussions and communicating highly technical content through written word, graphic representations, and verbal presentation using audience appropriate terms to non-technical delivery teams and client stakeholders.

Work you'll do
Identify unique technical risks or single points of failure that could cause an extended business disruption or crisis
Lead end-to-end technical management of engagements from identification to design thru implementation and testing
Navigate and discuss a variety of client technologies including legacy and cloud, on-premise and hosted - working to identify potential paths forward based on a client's unique challenges
Design operating models and techniques that maximize the adoption of risk and resilience methods
Design and architect both infrastructure and application solutions, covering the tech stack, to ensure resiliency of technology and data across multiple locations
Engage in design and architect solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments (including multi-availability zone, multi region, and multi cloud) for AWS, Azure, or GCP
Advanced knowledge of current technologies (cyber security, servers and virtual systems, networking, storage, database administration, software development lifecycle, replication strategies), and how these technologies are optimized in an effective enterprise architecture strategy
Design creative solutions to challenging IT resilience problems including server optimization, network latency, scalability, and isolated recovery environments
Implement technologies that enable organizations to respond to and recover from events in a more responsive and adaptive manner
Actively participate and facilitate in workshop and lab environments
Collaborate with team members and clients on unique strategies that will enable organizations to withstand different internal and external risks
Support the Crisis & Resilience leadership and teams on pursuits and special projects
Contribute eminence to expand the Crisis and Resilience portfolio and the industries and clients we serve

Required:
15 years of previous experience with infrastructure and application architecture, working with on-premise and cloud technology environments, or leading the design of large technical implementations/data center migrations
10+ years of related experience within consulting or professional services required
8-10 years DevOps experience
BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or demonstrated technical background and experience.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Technical Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent certification
Ability to travel up to 50% (While up to 50% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

Other:
Prior experience in risk management or related field such as business continuity management and cyber risk
Demonstrated prior experience architecting, designing, and managing the implementation for a variety of Information Technology related solutions and platforms
Proven ability to develop and lead multiple and concurrent technical delivery and operations teams
Strong knowledge of on premise and hosted cloud strategies, tools and techniques, including experience designing, implementing or managing cloud solutions with at least two major cloud service providers.
Working knowledge of data center operations, data center facilities management and infrastructure
Advanced understanding and experience in delivery of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, including designing technical solutions for application, infrastructure, and cloud service resiliency
Prior experience designing and implementing large scale solutions or leading systems/data center migrations is preferred
Prior experience in gathering technical requirements, performing gap and technical analysis, developing technical specifications, and architecting application solutions to roll out on a large scale
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
Disciplined program, project and time management skills with the proven ability to work in a cross functional, matrixed and diverse workforce environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the security, confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data
