The University Design Institute (UDI) is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Higher Education Designer. This individual will serve as a core design expert for UDIs client facing services, both within the university and external to it towards building trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders and influential executives.\ \ The ideal candidate will have a clear track record of engaging with executive leaders within universities, government entities and foundations in support of diagnostic conversations with new clients about their business, understanding the client\'s unique business circumstances, challenges, culture, learning and skill needs. Additionally, this individual should possess significant expertise in leading co-design engagements with diverse groups tackling a variety of complex challenges, resulting in transformational outcomes. This may translate to design and facilitation of programs, workshops, and stakeholder convenings, including the ability to continue to adapt their approach as needed to ensure successful engagements.\ \ The Higher Education Designer will proactively organize groups to enhance their creativity and preparedness to participate in ideation and design processes. Drawing upon a varied repertoire of established methodologies and tools, our ideal candidate will construct creative yet structured design engagements and skillfully facilitate groups to arrive at innovative solutions that have the desired impact. The Higher Education Designer will also synthesize ideas into well-structured and actionable products that support successful implementation of solutions.\ \ The preferred candidate will adeptly navigate cultures and structures, within and across all levels of organizations and sectors. This individual will be expected to function independently as the sole designer and facilitator for a client project or as a member of a larger design team, depending on the needs of the project. We expect the candidate to oversee and navigate multiple projects simultaneously with executive and C-suite audiences. The Higher Education Designer will also demonstrate the capacity to create new and innovative methodologies and tools to elevate UDI\'s design practice.\ \ This position is based on site in the UDIs ASU SkySong offices located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Travel domestically and internationally may be required in support of UDI projects. The role will report directly to the Executive Director of Services.
