Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker, responsible for the manufacturing and assembling of windows and door walls. You will work in one of four areas – Shipping & Receiving, Frames (windows), Sashes (windows), or Doorwall/Casements. Positions are interchangeable to some extent, and you will receive ongoing training in different sub-assemblies throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of windows or door walls including measuring and cutting of vinyl, glass, and other materials.

• Repetitively lifting and moving materials (10-50+ lbs depending on position).

• Punching holes into the material.

• Stripping the material.

• Working with hand tools.

• Placing flexy glass on the frames.

• Operating a machine, saw, or welding (when direct, not while on contract).

• Repetitive movements including grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, etc.

• Stocking and cleaning of the workspace and general areas.

• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.

• Knowledge of hand tools.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand on feet for the entire duration of the shift.

• Ability to bend, twist, and squat during the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.

Work Environment

Work inside a facility with temperature fluctuations reflecting seasonal conditions – hot/cold, humid/dry. The environment is similar to a garage with large doors for ventilation and fans to help with temperature control. The break room is air-conditioned, and coolers of Gatorade are provided during hot weather. The noise level is moderate, and the building is well-lit. Be prepared to work in a hot, noisy environment.
