A hospital in the San Fernando Valley is in need of an ER Admitting Representative. This is a leading healthcare institution committed to providing high-quality care through a network of dedicated professionals. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ER Admitting Representative to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and families upon their arrival in the ER

• Obtain medical and demographic information from patients to register them for services

• Collect insurance information and verify coverage

• Determine and collect co-payments, deductibles, and other patient responsibility amounts as required

• Deliver exceptional patient service and answer any queries related to admission procedures

• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth admissions process

• Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations

• Keep precise and accurate records of all transactions and interactions

Shifts Available:

7:30AM-3:30 PM

11PM-7AM

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in hospital admissions or related healthcare setting.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminologies

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency in using software systems and handling data

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
