Job Title: Sr Associate Scientist
Job Description
As a Associate Scientist III, you will be actively involved in performing tumor implantation in mice, measuring tumor growth, administering injections through various routes, and applying general surgical techniques. Additionally, your role will include the collection of blood and tissue samples, tissue processing, purification of immune cells, and the development of in vitro cell-based bioassays using primary mouse and human cells. You will also investigate the components of the tumor microenvironment using multi-parameter flow cytometry and analyze biological data with FlowJo and GraphPad Prism software. Your responsibilities extend to independently designing, planning, and executing experiments while maintaining accurate electronic records. You will analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate results during internal and external meetings in a fast-paced, result-oriented research environment. Collaboration with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments and support cross-functional efforts with other departments is crucial.
Hard Skills
BS/MS in Molecular Biology or related field
5+ years of postgraduate research experience
In Vivo/Mice Handling Experience (injections/dosing, surgical techniques, tumor implantation)
In Vitro: Molecular/cell-based assay experience (e.g., Flow Cytometry, ELISA)
Soft Skills

This is a fully on-site position in Tarrytown, New York.
Work Environment
You will be an integral member of the Cancer Immunology group within the department of Immunology & Inflammation. The role is based in a vivarium and laboratory setting, requiring onsite presence Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This position offers the opportunity to join an innovative team utilizing cutting-edge technologies to address significant questions in the field of cancer immunology and epigenetics.
