Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Principal Scientist- Cardiovascular (Coagulation Factor/Platelet Disorders) in Tarrytown, New York
We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist to join our Cardiovascular Research team. In this role, you will be dedicated to efforts that identify, characterize mechanism(s), and validate coagulation factor and platelet targets for the purpose of advising and developing therapeutic strategies in thrombosis. You will work with a team of in vitro and in vivo scientists proficient in numerous assays and models applied in the pre-clinical thrombosis and hemostasis research field to support and add to a pipeline of coagulation factor and platelet targets in thrombosis.
As a Principal Scientist, a typical day to day might include:
Designing in vitro and in vivo studies evaluating coagulation factor and/or platelets targets in thrombosis assays/models
Conducting in vivo experiments including blood draws to small animal microscopic surgeries and thrombosis and/or bleeding challenge models in mice
Validating and screening potential coagulation factor or platelet targets for informing and developing therapeutic strategies in thrombosis
Conducting in-vitro experiments including but not limited to cell culture, immunohistochemistry, microscopy and intravital imaging, microfluidics testing, Western blotting, ELISAs and enzymatic activity assays
Contributing scientifically to target-specific or working group meetings, sub-group meetings and departmental meetings

To be considered for this role , you must have a Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience or a BS/MS and 15+ years of relevant experience. Must have extensive experience in designing and completing various relevant in-vitro and in-vivo techniques/experiments. Experience conducting thrombosis studies in small animals (mice) strongly preferred. Must possess scientific acumen to become the subject matter expert on multiple targets. Compliance with good documentation practices required.

Salary Range (annually)
$126,700.00 - $206,900.00
