Robert Half Bookkeeper in Tarpon Springs, Florida

Description

We are accepting applications for the role of Bookkeeper in the construction industry. The role involves comprehensive customer service, meticulous record-keeping, and effective communication within the team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries in a prompt and detail oriented manner

• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary

• Work closely with project managers and field personnel

• Handle project-related administrative and accounting queries

• Manage project documentation, including processing invoices, commitments, change orders, lien releases, insurance, and certified payroll/minority compliance tracking

• Ensure meeting project accounting deadlines

• Assist in the preparation of Owner pay applications, providing supporting documentation as required by the contract

• Issue Subcontracts, Change Orders, and Purchase Orders as directed by Project Manager.

This is a permanent position that will pay u to $70,000 depending upon experience. Please apply to Jane Gearhart if interested!

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations for financial transparency and accuracy

• Demonstrated expertise in bookkeeping practices and principles

• Strong data entry skills for recording financial transactions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Experience in month end close processes to finalize financial records

• Knowledge of payroll procedures to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for managing and processing financial data
