Citigroup Tax Lead Analyst - C13 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida
The Tax Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within tax. There are typically multiple people within tax that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to contribute to the overall management of State and Local tax liabilities, of Citi, both directly and in connection with transactions with clients, including the related compliance, financial reporting, planning and controversy processes.
Contributes to State and Local tax planning, accounting, filing and the reporting of State and Local tax liability of the company.
Assists in determining and compiling information required to satisfy income tax filing and related requirements for all state and local jurisdictions.
Prepare, maintain, or review State and Local ETR and DTA analysis and documentations to ensure full compliance of Citi’s End User Computing (EUC) and change management policies.
Prepare responses to Internal/External Audit and management governance and oversight inquires on State and Local ETR and DTA.
May participate in managing payments to State and Local tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations.
Strategic professional who advises on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application in own job and the business.
Focuses on the implementation of policies and procedures.
Uses communication and diplomacy to guide and influence others, in particular colleagues in other areas.
Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years relevant experience in state and local income and franchise tax compliance and tax accounting.
Education:
- Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree and or CPA.
Excellent data management and excel skills required.
