Agile IT Synergy Sr. Cloud Engineer in Tampa, Florida

We're in search of customer focused professionals with a passion for solving difficult problems and exceeding our DoD customer expectations.

We're seeking a Cloud Engineer with experience supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure infrastructures and workloads across an 85,000 user IT enterprise. This position will work with other systems engineers in the customer’s environment to provision storage and compute resources in the AWS lab environment and maintain that architecture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support our government clients in AWS and Azure deployments, “lift & shift” migrations and innovative cloud native solutions.

  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications

  • Guide mission owners in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies

  • Support services before operational deployment through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.

  • Scale cloud sustainably through mechanisms such as automation and evolve systems by recommending changes that improve reliability and velocity.

  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation

  • Design and arrangement of scalable, highly attainable, and fault tolerant systems on AWS and Azure

    Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Experience in IT field with 2-5 years of expertise with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure

  • Must have minimum 2 years direct experience with AWS and Azure.

  • Demonstrated experience employing AWS cloud services consistent with AWS Well Architected Framework.

  • Demonstrated experience employing Azure cloud services consistent with Microsoft Azure Well Architected Framework.

  • Hands-on AWS and/or Azure experience with a minimum of one to two reference of implementations, preferably on enterprise scale.

  • Knowledge in designing and configuring AWS services for rapid deployment of compute and storage resources in defined configurations

  • Understanding of AWS and Azure security services such as identity and access management (IAM), Role & Policy, key management service (KMS), and audit logging.

  • Familiar with Operating Systems (Windows and Linux).

  • Good working knowledge in any RDBMS – design practices and use cases.

  • US Citizenship Required

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (TS Required)

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or associated field)

  • Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures.

  • Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight

  • Demonstrate ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, aggressive targets and deadlines

  • AWS and/or Azure Certification highly desired

  • Strong Documentation Skills

  • Strong Verbal Communication Skills
