Job Description:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the department and assist the hiring process with the on-boarding and support our employees with all the different questions they have and entering of a high volume of employment records timely and correctly into the HRIS system.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Department
- Create and maintain Human Resources data, forms, documentation, office supplies and inventory
- Handle all on-boarding for new hires, including completing required paperwork, coordinating drug screens and pre-employment physicals
- Schedule and coordinate new hire orientations with the Safety Departments
- Assist with benefit tasks such as monthly enrollment of eligible employees and annual open enrollment
- Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, balance bills, EOI status and benefits deductions
- Audit benefit carrier invoices
- Maintain personnel records, files, and reports timely and correctly
- Assist and advise employees regarding leave and requesting time off, including FMLA and STD/LTD paperwork
- Enter new hires in the HR system, conducts I-9/E-Verify, Background Checks and Florida New Hire Verifications
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests including but not limited to: HR App setup, Recruiting, etc.
- Support other departments as needed
- Complete miscellaneous assignments and projects as assigned
