**Job Description: We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician in our contact center, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs, ensuring center compliance, licensing, and safety and policy regulations. General internet, smartphone, and computer skills are necessary to be successful in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:**

  • Clean building offices, workstations and common areas by dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets, trash containers, ashtrays, and cigarette urns
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathrooms, break room areas
  • Stock areas with appropriate supplies (hand towels, toilet paper, hand soap, etc.)
  • Perform general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. using power equipment and hand tools such as floor buffers, auto scrubbers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees
  • Maintain power equipment and hand tools in working condition and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance procedures and/or minor repairs to systems and/or components within assigned areas which may include lighting (changing bulbs, replacing defective switches), plumbing (clearing drains, tightening leaking joints, changing washers, etc.), and sewage (clearing plugged toilets, periodic treatment of sewer lines and floor drains)
  • Receive and carry out requests and assignments on time and within standards
  • Report to the supervisor any equipment failures such as broken fixtures (soap or towel dispensers, toilet seats, and toilet doors), plumbing leaks, and any other unusual maintenance issues
  • Attend training and/or safety meetings as directed by supervisor

**Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties. Occasional lifting and carrying of material weighing up to twenty pounds may be required.
