LOCATION: Central Region Detention Services. 3710 Corporex Park Drive Suite 300, Tampa, Florida 33619
STARTING SALARY: $1,745.46 Bi-weekly (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)

POSITION DESCRIPTION :
Provides technical assistance and general information in the administration of recruitment, disciplinary actions, and career service grievances for the Central Region Detention Services.
Reviews documents to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains tracking systems for human resource functions (ex. discipline, hiring and grievances). Completes special projects as assigned. Compiles data related human resources.
Provides Instructions and guidance on human resources related matters. Provides suggestions regarding regional guidelines to assist with processing.
Reviews requests for classification actions. Prepares and reviews appropriate paperwork. Ensures position descriptions and organizational charts are accurate and up to date.
Provides training to staff as required.
Provides benefit information to employees, to include retirement.
Performs other duties related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment required for this position:
Knowledge of personnel rules, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, prioritize the workload, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
Ability to develop various reports.
Ability to communicate effectively and handle confidential information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
5 year working experience in Human Resources relating to hiring, recruitment, discipline, grievance process, payroll, and compliance.
SPECIAL NOTES :

If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle
