Job Title: Director – BEST HR Accounting & Operations

Division: Corporate HR

Reports To: VP, HR Shared Services-BEST HR

What You Will Do:

Long Term Incentive Administration (Salary Planning) (30%)

  • Manage non-qualified plan controlling administration including Long Term Incentive Plan, SIP, LOREP and P&L calculations.

  • Support year end accounting activities related to EPI, LPSP, balance sheet.

  • Manage ongoing and YE payroll and financial reporting related to trends and budgets related to LUSA and Zone requirements.

HR Controlling/Salary Planning (20%)

  • Ownership of assigned headcount and internal personnel cost planning and forecasting.

  • Partner with AVP – Salary Planning to deliver consolidated headcount and internal personnel cost planning and forecasting.

  • Support a historical financial database combining compensation and salary planning data; maintain program and calculate P&L impact; interact with finance partners during each trend cycle.

  • Support and promote upskilling of HR Controlling team.

Governance & Internal Control (20%)

  • Support Salary Planning audit action project plan management focused on implementing KPMG Playbook.

  • Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure the overall salary planning process follows external rules & regulations and internal policies & practices per the Group Norms.

  • Manage responses to internal and external requests including audits relative to Salary Planning and HR Controlling overall.

  • Partner with Payroll and Finance leads to ensure timeliness and accuracy of submissions.

  • Maintain key documentation and inspect processes for alignment with optimization efforts; ensure communication to key stakeholders on process changes.

Technology: (20%)

  • Support process enhancements related to HR controlling technology (ex. Identification and understanding of financial reporting in Compass).

  • Support Hyperion tool upgrade (ex. Liaise between HR Controlling, Finance, and IT teams to drive implementation)

Finance & HR Liaison: (10%)

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to drive optimal ways of working related to HR Controlling balancing both stakeholder needs. Partnering with AVP-Salary Planning and VP-BEST HR, drive salary planning team growth and development to the target operating model using financial and HR knowledge and fluency to build mutually beneficial working partnerships.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree coupled with 10 plus years’ experience in the accounting profession. Relevant experience in other financial fields considered.

  • Prior management history with ability to lead teams cross functionally with and without direct reporting authority.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Experience with external vendor management

  • Multi-state large employer experience including accounting and employment tax.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications specifically excel.

  • Physical in-office presence per hybrid work policy

  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate employees on the West Coast.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced complex deadline-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree

  • CPA or equivalent

  • Experience with systems: Hyperion, Compass, Magnitude, SuccessFactors, SAP

  • Advanced Excel
