Job Title: Construction Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to perform Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services for landfill and landfill gas projects in the the southeast area (GA/FL/AL). This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with design plans and technical specifications, maintaining high standards in construction quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections at landfills or construction sites.

  • Oversee and inspect engineering management of landfill gas and landfill construction (cell and closure) to ensure compliance with design plans.

  • Ensure construction quality assurance (CQA) for compliance with drawings and technical specifications.

  • Perform landfill gas or remedial system maintenance and monitoring.

  • Coordinate with General Contractors and Subcontractors.

  • Submit daily written and photo log reports.

  • Prepare construction documentation reports as requested.

  • Assist in training engineering technicians, associate staff, and staff professionals in field activities.

  • Assist in office operations when requested.

Essential Skills

  • 1-5 years of experience with Geosynthetics/Liner Inspections.

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PDFs (Daily Field Logs use fillable Excel Templates).

  • Experience in soil sampling and quality assurance.

  • Ability to write detailed reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Soils or Concrete Certifications are a plus.

  • Self-starter with knowledge of geosynthetics and soil sampling.

  • 1 year of experience in active construction sites or engineering field work preferred.

  • AA in engineering degree preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and read maps and construction plans.

  • Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.

  • Geosynthetics and soils knowledge preferred.

  • Must meet physical requirements for driving, lifting, and carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), hand excavation, climbing ladders, operating tools, and working under various weather conditions.

Work Environment

This role involves a significant amount of traveling, with a rotation of 3-4 weeks on-site working 6 days a week, followed by a 1-week break. Overnight stays and regional travel across GA, FL, and AL are required. The first 2 weeks include 2 days in an office for onboarding and safety training, followed by 3 days on different landfill sites for exposure and training with a senior CQA. The typical work assignment will be on specific projects, with accommodations in nice hotels and a company vehicle provided. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00
