Industrial Machine Shop in Tampa seeking CNC Machinist - 2nd shift

Job Description

Manual/CNC Machinist-Tampa, FL

Responsible for reviewing electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job, calculating where to cut or bore into work-pieces (steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, silicon or any other material being shaped), and determining the speed and material removal rate. You will need to position the workpiece on the machine tool, set the controls, and make the cuts. Monitoring the feed rate and speed of the machine, ensuring the workpiece is properly lubricated and cooled, and detecting problems by listening for specific sounds are all critical aspects of this role. Adjust cutting speeds to compensate for harmonic vibrations, which can decrease the accuracy of cuts.

  • Running Lathes- up to 50-60 inches of swing and length up to 40 feet

  • Mills- spindle 4-5-6 diameter
