MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityandfour (4) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Requires possession of a valid driver license.

Occasional travel required.

Some tasks will require evening, weekend and/or holiday activity, including overnight and/or extended travel.

JOB DUTIES:

Collect, understand, and communicate the operational requirements for functional areas of the Division. Document and analyze operational processes through process mapping. Audit processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency. Ensure processes align with rules, statutes, policies, and procedures. Identify new and alternative approaches, including the potential for automation and the assessment of costs and potential benefits. Create viable specifications and acceptance criteria. Where appropriate, management of change and assistance with implementation. Provide a link between end users and the development team throughout the lifecycle of applications regarding application functionality. Create and review test scenarios and test scripts. Coordinate the testing activities to ensure adequate regression and user acceptance testing. Performs application user account audits.

Receives and documents findings from employee training, audits, incident reports, and nonconformance reports. Tracks and trends violations cited, sampling errors, and inspection report deficiencies. Evaluates data and makes recommendations for change to enhance and update the program areas.

Attends section meetings, training sessions, and courses as assigned. Provides assistance in an emergency response as directed. Some tasks will require evening, weekend and/or holiday activity, including overnight and/or extended travel. Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of application testing criteria and procedures.

  • Knowledge of auditing processes and procedures.

  • Skilled in the use of various computer software programs including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and flow-charting applications.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and understand state and federal statutes and rules.

  • Ability to accurately and timely prepare reports.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to organize time to meet competing priorities.
