Our Organization and Mission:
The Justice Administrative Commission (JAC) administratively serves 49 judicial-related offices (JROs) including the 20 Offices of State Attorney, 20 Offices of Public Defender, 5 Offices of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 3 Offices of Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, and the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program. Services provided are primarily in the areas of accounting, budget, financial services, and human resources. JAC also performs compliance and financial review of court-appointed attorney and due process vendor bills. JAC’s Vision is to be the model of exemplary state government, and our Mission is to support the entities we serve and Florida’s judicial system with fiscal controls, best practices, and exemplary service.
Although JAC is a state agency, it is not part of the State Personnel System. However, JAC is a member of the Florida Retirement System and participates in the State Group Insurance Plan .

The Work You Will Do :
JAC is seeking a candidate to serve as an Operations & Management Consultant I. This position is located in the Operations Section of JAC and reports to the Director of Operations. The person in this position works closely with staff from JAC as well as staff from the agencies we administratively serve.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work with the Director of Operations and other key JAC staff to respond to the agency’s purchasing and contractual needs. Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Serve as the Risk Management Coordinator for the JROs and JAC.
Serve as JAC’s Worker’s Compensation Coordinator.
Act as a liaison between the JROs and other State agency stakeholders.
Serve as JAC’s Property Custodian’s Delegate in accordance with s. 273.03, F.S.
Coordinate the assignment of JAC equipment used for remote work, including maintenance of the proper documentation for each item.
Manage JAC’s Access Control System, including the assignment of access control FOBs and access levels as determined by section managers.
Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for JACs web conference system, ZOOM.
Serve as the primary Zoom technical host responsible for monitoring and resolving any technical issues that may arise during a meeting. This may include, but is not limited to, monitoring chat and supporting attendees such as muting/unmuting and camera set up, etc. May manage breakout rooms and support presenters with slides and links, and any Zoom recordings, chat files, etc.
Assist JAC’s Records Management Liaison Officer with the management of documents and files associated with the Operations Section.
In conjunction with other Operations staff, perform physical duties as needed, including but not limited to, room set up (furniture and communications) and delivering copy paper to the different sections.
Assign and coordinate parking spaces for the agency.
Serve on a call queue for the agencies phone system

The candidate selected to fill this position will play an important role in helping the agency achieve its mission by helping to ensure that the agencies purchasing needs are met, the agencies assets are managed in accordance with applicable policies and laws, working with the JROs to coordinate Statewide insurance coverages (including sending surveys and compiling the results), Workers’ Compensation claims are filed accurately and in a timely manner, and the agencies access control system is properly managed.

Pay :
The candidate selected for this position will start between $50,000 and $55,000 annually.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) but an Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Applicants must have one to two years of proven work experience in at least two of the following areas: Asset Management, Procurement, or Risk Management. Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in all three areas.
Applicants must have strong written and verbal communications skills.
