V2X Junior Procurement Analyst I-Logistics in Tallahassee, Florida

Responsibilities

The V2X Mobile Sensors program performs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for a ship based mobile platform with complex multi-mission radar/communication systems which have an elaborate command & control computing structure, along with communication interfaces and support sub-systems. These systems and the program assigned employees, which include bargaining members (union), are tasked to primarily operate in the Pacific Command's (PACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). Our program ensures the COBRA KING (CK) radar and communication systems are Fully Mission Capable (FMC) 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, and capable of supporting mission operations on short-notice. CK platform is on the USNS Howard O. Lorenzen.

In performance of this mission, V2X Mobile Sensors Management Office (MSMO) is seeking a Procurement Analyst to assist the management team in performance and execution of program contractual requirements and associated activities. Position is located at Patrick SFB, FL.

The Procurement Analyst will play a key role in our program’s support of the CK platform and will assist as required in the planning, organizing, and executing or procurement/logistics support activities. Position will be required to support supply efforts to include inventory support, shipping/receiving of material, and general support to the program. This position will report to the Deputy Program Manager.

This position involves OCONUS travel IAW vessel in port periods; 15%

Additionally, potential for extended at sea deployment onboard vessel 60 days a year

Qualifications

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conduct program property, material, and equipment inventories as directed.

  • Coordinate/Conduct shipping and receiving of program property, material, and equipment to include the necessary labeling, distribution, and redistribution.

  • Conduct in the oversight/submission of program property requiring calibration through the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL).

  • Conduct dispositioning of designated program property, material, and equipment through the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office.

  • Conduct Purchasing-Card (P-Card) requirements to include material research, pricing/availability, and requisition.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

    Required Skills:

  • Existing DOD SECRET clearance.

  • 2+ years’ experience in related field.

  • Knowledge of distribution and shipping methods.

  • Demonstrated communication skills for reporting.

  • Familiarity with logistics tracking software, spreadsheets, word processors and email

    Desired Skills:

  • Experience w/ military Transportation Management Office (TMO)

  • Knowledge of International shipping requirements (EXIM, Customs etc)

    Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass Mariner Physical Exam IAW our program PWS; no restrictions of lifting/moving heavy objects.

  • Current U.S. Passport with minimum of 1 year prior to expiration and 3 blank pages.

  • This position requires frequent overseas travel; approximately 60+ days a year

    Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
