MANAGEMENT REVIEW SPECIALIST– 70047590

This advertisement is for a SES located in Tallahassee Fl, Leon County in the Office of Administrations Private Prison Monitoring Bureau.

Salary Rate: $65,646.36

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee will assist to develop and update the contract performance indicators used by On-site Contract Monitors and Management Review Specialists to conduct evaluations of contractor performance.

  • Employee will develop a schedule and conduct unannounced and routine on-site in-depth quality assurance reviews of each facility’s operations to ensure facility is complying with its operational contract.

  • Employee will work closely with On-site Contract Monitors on all operational issues.

  • Employee will gather information detailing findings of non-compliance issues at each facility pursuant to the contract performance reviews. This responsibility entails: preparing reports; providing the Bureau Chief and the on-site Contract Monitor with reports detailing all non-compliance issues and making recommendations; ensuring the on-site Contract Monitor follows up with the facility to address non-compliance issues; ensuring that the facility submits to the on-site Contract Monitor corrective actions to be taken; ensuring the facility follows through on those actions; and providing final documentation to the Bureau Chief.

  • Employee will consult with the Bureau Chief on issues that cannot be resolved at his/her level or the On-site Contract Monitor’s level.

  • Drafts Bureau policies and procedures.

  • Ensures the On-site Contract Monitors submit reports and status of the On-site Contract Monitors’ weekly meetings with the facility’s Warden.

  • Performs related work as required, to include, but not limited to reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating contracts.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of Department of Corrections rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Knowledge of prisons/institutions.

  • Knowledge of methods of data collection and analyses.

  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.

  • Ability to become well versed in: Department of Corrections rules, policy and procedures; Contractor Operational Contracts; and American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.

  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

  • Ability to conduct independent fact-finding research and objectively report those findings.

  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five (5) years of correctional experience.

  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.

  • Must have contract management experience.

  • Must be able to travel to provide monitoring assistance at PPM prisons.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience demonstrating the ability to conduct independent fact-finding research and objectively report those findings.

  • Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) Certification.
