Minimum Requirements - Applicant is Disqualified if application, resume or cover letter does not clearly establish that applicant:

  • Has a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Has over two (2) years relevant work experience. Relevant work experience is job-related administrative experience in a conventional office setting following established work processes and guidelines. Examples of office duties considered job-related experience include producing reports, producing final orders and other legal documents, generating correspondence memos and letters, responding to written and telephone inquiries, and developing and maintaining a filing system.

  • Experience reviewing documents and filings for statutory compliance

  • Experience with office procedures and practices

  • Experience preparing routine correspondence

  • Preferences:

  • Fluency in Spanish

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This is independent work providing high-level administrative support assisting management in a variety of administrative matters within the Division of Elections/Bureau of Voting Systems Certification. This position is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Serves as the personal assistant and provides administrative support to the bureau. Composes and prepares responses to routine correspondence. Screens and routes telephone calls and answers questions related to voting systems and Florida’s election laws. Provides general information pertaining to matters handled by the bureau. Assists the Bureau Chief in creating and updating documents needed in the bureau and updates procedures as needed.

  • Performs other work-related duties as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of administrative office procedures and practices

  • Skills and ability to prepare correspondence

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to process a variety of routine correspondence

  • Ability to investigate subject matter and prepare replies

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to review & coordinate information for statutory compliance.
