DevOps Lead Architect

Job Summary:

Global Technology offers its customers a set of data center solutions that afforded greater convenience and accessibility.The DevOps Engineer (Platform Automation) role will be a part of the Global Product Engineering team at Iron Mountain.

Iron Mountain’s Enterprise IT Organization is looking for a DevOps Lead Architect who will be responsible for building automated deployment capability to the cloud within the agile development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience automating deployments for custom software solutions, must be a passionate, team-oriented problem solver who understands and differentiates between what users want vs. what they need to create industry leading solutions. He/She should demonstrate a hybrid of business and technical acumen and understanding of consumer centricity to enable digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Participate in design discussions about the technical implementation and consider the tradeoffs to support business value, scalability and delivery timeline.

⦁ Setup and configure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab

⦁ Automate container builds for deployment

⦁ Automate deployments with helm and terraform

⦁ Works with Enterprise Cloud Services teams to implement and build scalable systems

⦁ Handles security considerations, anticipates security risks

⦁ Manage configurations for SQL and Cloud based systems

⦁ Handle disaster recovery and support scenarios

⦁ Take lead in training new hires and junior members of the team

⦁ Be the primary point of contact for escalations during US Business hours

⦁ Drive Cloud cost governance measures

⦁ Architect DevOps solutions with Information Security principles as front and center

⦁ Work closely with Global Support team for addressing Production environment issues

Qualifications:

⦁ Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills with a track record of delivering production grade systems in a team environment

⦁ Experience in mentoring team members

⦁ Motivated individual who learns quickly, has pride in building a new product and can engage others to accelerate technical solutions

⦁ Familiarity with implementation design patterns and performance challenges

⦁ Experience in working with distributed teams

⦁ Overall 10 years of experience in Information Technology

⦁ 4 years of experience architecting CI/CD pipelines

⦁ 3 years of experience utilizing, building and optimizing observability stack with Grafana/Datadog/Prometheus and alerting and notification stacks like, OpsGenie

⦁ 7 years of experience working with agile scrum methodologies

⦁ 7 years of experience interfacing with and deploying services to cloud platforms

⦁ 5 years of experience with AWS. Working knowledge of either Azure or GCP is an added plus

⦁ 5 years working with Kubernetes in Cloud (AWS EKS). Strong hands-on experience building enterprise scalable Kubernetes infrastructure

⦁ 5 years hands on experience with Terraform and Helm

⦁ 2 years hands on experience with Python

⦁ Cloud network optimization

⦁ Experience in developing scalable micro services and API gateways

⦁ Experience with server oriented architectures and web platform applications with ability to define and integrate with APIs and REST services

⦁ Architectural governance and security review experience

⦁ Experience with agile tools such as Atlassian JIRA, GItLab or Github

⦁ Mastery of code repositories such as subversion / git and artifactory repos

⦁ United States Citizenship required

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Masters degree is a plus. Should have at least 5 plus years of hands-on DevOps experience.

Certifications:

Cloud DevOps certification preferred, but not required.
