    Division of Accounting and Finance:

    The Division of Accounting and Finance is instrumental in determining the rates charged by Florida’s investor-owned electric, natural gas, and water and wastewater utility companies. Processing utility company rate changes includes analyzing filings and expert testimony, presenting staff expert-witness testimony, developing interrogatories and cross-examination questions, holding customer meetings, and presenting recommendations to the Commission including recommendations regarding the profit that utility companies should be allowed to earn.

    Description of Job Duties:

    The Administrative Assistant II position is located in the Division of Accounting and Finance and reports to the Division Director. The position will file legal documents, coordinate travel, assist employees with agency protocols, edit documents for grammar and spelling, create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations, and provide administrative support for the Division Assistant Director, and Director. In addition, the position will assist with the set-up of virtual training, updating the Division Director calendar, travel reimbursements and etc.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A high school diploma and two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.

    College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.

    Special consideration if applicant, during testing, demonstrates skills in Word and Excel.

    Employment Eligibility:
