Description

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk I to join our team 100% remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include processing numerical and financial data, maintaining accurate records, and effectively using accounting software. This role is part of a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process numerical and financial data

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Utilize specialized accounting software to debit, credit, and total accounts

• Prepare and issue financial statements, bills, and invoices according to established procedures

• Conduct regular monitoring of customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Diligently classify, record, and summarize financial data for record keeping

• Utilize computer applications such as Google Sheets, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for various tasks

• Adhere to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting

• Employ critical thinking skills to resolve customer inquiries and problems

• Manage time effectively and work independently.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Drive applications including Google Sheets

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software and other accounting software systems

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks and understand financial data, including financial statements

• Knowledge of accounting functions, including ledger and debit credit transactions

• Experience in handling invoices and maintaining financial records in an organized manner

• Understanding of company policies and regulations related to financial procedures

• Ability to use spreadsheets and databases for financial data management

• Strong written communication skills for clear and concise reporting

• Critical thinking skills to solve problems and make informed decisions

• Knowledge of credit procedures and related financial systems

• Proficiency in using various computer programs related to accounting and finance.
