Actalent Service Project Manager in Tacoma, Washington

Job Title: Service Project ManagerJob Description

We are looking for a talented Construction Service Department Manager to manage all incoming service requests from our commercial clients. This position is responsible for managing the Service Management Team and assisting in scheduling 8 or more service employees to complete all service department work orders in a timely manner and is also responsible for bidding service work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage the completion of small project work orders for commercial clients including rough carpentry, finish carpentry, hardware installation, miscellaneous repairs and installations, and basic building maintenance.

  • Maintain customer relations and effectively communicate with others.

  • Consult with managers and technical associates to coordinate activities.

  • Prioritize and schedule or coordinate necessary duties based on priority level.

  • Delegate tasks, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems effectively.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by implementing safety requirements.

  • Organize, direct, and supervise eight or more employees and various subcontractors to complete small projects.

  • Complete daily billing or other job-specific document requirements.

  • This position serves primarily Western Washington but extends to Eastern Washington on occasion.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years' experience as a Service Manager with a general contractor overseeing service contracts.

  • Experience with scheduling, customer relations, and overseeing small project work orders including rough carpentry, finish carpentry, repairs, and basic building maintenance.

  • Experience with daily billing and other job-specific document requirements.

  • Proficiency in project management, construction management, service management, Bluebeam, estimating, and work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid WA State Driver's license.

  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.

Work Environment

This role involves managing 8+ service projects at a time in a dynamic and established environment. Our client has been a well-established general contractor in the Tacoma market for over 40 years. The position requires travel primarily within Western Washington, with occasional travel to Eastern Washington. The work environment emphasizes safety and effective communication, with a focus on maintaining strong customer relations and efficient project management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
