We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Tacoma, Washington, United States. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in our Human Resources & Payroll department, handling tasks related to payroll processing, maintaining documentation, and providing general support.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll, taking into account various factors such as hourly rates, bonuses, and other types of compensation

• Ensure accurate processing of deductions related to taxes, 401(k) elections, benefits, dues, child support, garnishments, among others

• Maintain up-to-date payroll documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and comprehensive

• Provide support for the Human Resources department under the guidance of your supervisor

• Analyze and prepare reports as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department

• Handle issuance or reissuance of checks and direct deposits as needed

• Undertake general project support as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the department

• Play a critical role in maintaining customer credit records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency, ensuring a smooth customer experience.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce platforms

• Understanding and experience with 401k - RRSP Administration

• Ability to use About Time software

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Ability to manage Benefit Functions
