ABOUT 

THE 

ROLE

 

The Donor Communications Manager is responsible for executing the fundamental practices of donor communication with an emphasis on stewardship. The person in this role will manage the execution logistics for all donor communications including email, texting, and other channels. Additionally, the Manager will lead the content creation and execution of multiple at-scale stewardship projects throughout the year through a variety of channels. The Manager will be a key partner in engaging students and alumni in philanthropy to create meaningful experiences that uplift their success and communicate genuine gratitude and impact to donors.

 

The Manager reports to the Director of Donor Communications, working on the Donor Communications team in PLU's Division of University Relations. *Essential Functions and Responsibilities: *

Lead execution of logistics related to donor communications, including building and sending emails, confirming contact lists are prepared, managing review processes with multiple reviewers, building surveys and processing submissions, sending text messages, printing small-batch letters, work in ThankView and other stewardship platforms, etc. This work spans across solicitation, stewardship, and impact reporting communications.

Collaborate with colleagues in the University Relations division, colleagues across campus, and students to collect impact stories that demonstrate the value of a 

PLU education from a variety of perspectives. Serve as point person for sharing readily available content, both for stewardship communications and to be used by other teams (such as frontline fundraisers).

Write and create content for at-scale donor stewardship communications. This includes a monthly email newsletter to donors and alumni, occasional letters written from different voices, and other projects throughout the year.

Maintain the division-wide calendar of donor and constituent communications, identifying areas of overlap. Lead collaboration with others executing communications
