VENUE: Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview

COMPENSATION: $16/hour

THE ROLE

As a member of our VIP Event Staff, you will be responsible for managing the VIP entrance during concerts. This role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for VIP guests by checking credentials, scanning tickets, assisting with entry, and providing information about VIP amenities. Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle guests with discretion are essential. This is a seasonal, part-time, event-based position that will begin April/May 2025 and end September/October 2025.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet all guests with superior hospitality and customer service.

  • Scan guest tickets, examine tickets for entry, and answer questions.

  • Apply VIP wristbands.

  • Assist in verifying staff credentials in restricted areas.

  • Ensure and check wristbands as guests enter/exit applicable areas.

  • Monitor the VIP areas and be able to distinguish who has access to those areas.

  • Listen to customer concerns and act or react accordingly.

  • Communicate effectively via radio transmission.

  • Monitor assigned work area to assist in keeping the venue safe, clean, and presentable.

  • Assist in the Box Office performing Ticket Seller duties as needed.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED; and

  • Minimum of 1 year in a guest services role; and

  • Ability to work at least 75% of scheduled concerts from May 2025 – September 2025.

  • Experience with electronic ticketing systems preferred but not required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

  • The ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.

  • Some knowledge of radio communication.

  • Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

  • Tolerant to work under adverse outdoor conditions including extreme heat or cold and exposure to heavy dust, dirt, and cleaning agent odors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to use hands/fingers to grasp or feel.

  • Ability to talk clearly and concisely with guests and team members.

  • Ability to hear guests and team members.

  • This position requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying 25+ lbs.

  • This position may be exposed to adverse conditions such as loud noises, pyrotechnics, etc.
