Syracuse University UI/UX Designer in Syracuse, New York

A member of the Digital team within the Marketing Division, the UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing the interface and user experience for the central flagship suite of products that form the digital presence of Syracuse University. The UI/UX Designer will work closely with the Digital, Creative and Strategy teams to apply the University’s brand guidelines and execute digital strategies. A strong understanding of user-centered design principles, a keen eye for visual aesthetics, and the ability to translate user needs into intuitive and engaging interfaces, this position is responsible for producing responsive wireframes and prototypes for flagship digital products such as the Syracuse.edu website, campaign landing pages, forms, etc. and will collaborate with schools, colleges and units across campus to offer recommendations in the areas of user interface and user experience design. The UI/UX Designer is responsible for making data-driven decisions, including conducting user testing, research, and reviewing website analytics, as well as managing, leveraging, and expanding the digital design system to support new features and functionality. The position receives and processes all feedback, user research and feature requests, leveraging expertise in the areas of digital design, UX best practices and web accessibility.
