Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist located in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll activities for a large number of employees, including union and salaried personnel. The job function revolves around critical accounting functions, making use of various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Handle payroll operations for over 200 employees

• Manage union payroll ensuring accurate and timely processing

• Administer salaried payroll in line with organizational policies and procedures

• Oversee hourly payroll including data entry and validation

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian for payroll processing

• Manage 401k - RRSP administration as part of payroll duties

• Ensure compliance with accounting functions and auditing protocols

• Handle benefit functions related to payroll

• Oversee full cycle payroll process from data collection to final payment

• Utilize Dayforce and About Time software for efficient payroll management. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce programs

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration

• Ability to use About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Capability to manage Benefit Functions

• Experience with Payroll - Union

• Ability to handle Full Cycle Payroll
