Operations Specialist

The Operations Specialist provides operational support regarding all aspects of the Customer Relations & Operations Department including the research, resolution, and completion of various administrative and transactional functions in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of bank products and services to include loan and deposit accounts and ancillary services.

The qualified candidate will have knowledge of retail banking products and services, proven ability in problem solving and the ability to create and sustain strong relationships with customers and coworkers. Two or more years’ experience in banking in a customer service role preferred. This is primarily an on-site position reporting to our corporate office in Solvay, NY.

Position Title: Reports To:

Operations Specialist Deposit Operations Supervisor

Position Summary:

Provides operational support regarding all aspects of the Operations and Customer Relations Department. Researches, resolves and completes various administrative and transactional functions in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of bank products and services to include loan and deposit accounts and ancillary services.

Tasks:

  • Performs file maintenance review for Individual Retirement Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, including administrative oversight for these products.

  • Performs file maintenance review for CD opening, renewals and changes.

  • Completes daily processing of EIM entries, chargeback and non-posts.

  • Provides daily support for wire transfers as needed.

  • Shares in the review and preparation for the daily letters and disclosures required for Bounce Protection accounts, as well as any follow-up actions required.

  • Provide backup support for daily functions performed in the Operations Department.

  • Review and recommend new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient.

  • Assists with special or time-based projects as needed.

  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality regarding customer accounts.

    Experience and Education:

  • 2 or more years of banking experience

  • Demonstrated success in problem resolution.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail products and services

  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships.
