Syracuse University Operations Specialist in Syracuse, New York

The Operations Specialist will provide a high level of support role in fulfilling the budgetary and operational needs of the Student Experience division. Responsibilities of this position include continually reviewing and recommending improvements and operational efficiencies to the Budget Manager(s) and monitoring their implementation by providing guidance and oversight to staff, particularly to the departments within the Schine Student Center. Additionally, the position will coordinate with and assist the Budget Manager(s) in conducting monthly credit card reviews as well as daily direct payment reviews and approvals. This position requires strong organizational skills, mature judgement, and the proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues. The incumbent must use independent judgment and planning to relieve the Budget Manager(s) of many of their routine administrative tasks.
