Part time Endoscopy combines the technological aspects of the Operating Room with the patient contact of the Access Units. EU nurses are responsible for admitting and discharging outpatients, intra-procedural monitoring of inpatients and outpatients receiving Moderate Sedation, and assist with procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiogram pancreatogram (ERCP). Our unit performs more than 3,000 procedures a year. The unit is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with call for weekends and holiday coverage. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a licensed health care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of an RN, physician, or other authorized health care provider. What you will do Therapeutic nursing interventions under the supervision and direction of the RN for daily care, tube feeds, dressing changes and more. Medication administration upon completion of medication course. Documentation using the EPIC system.Collaborative team approach: with interprofessional team of registered nurses, medical social work, care managers, nutrition, Rehab services, spiritual care and pharmacy.
