SRC, Inc Development and Program Quality Engineer in Syracuse, New York

is currently seeking a Development and Program Quality Engineer. The selected candidate will assist in the design and development of military and consumer radar-based products.
What You'll Do
  • Work with product development teams in the execution of product realization and sustainment throughout the product lifecycle
  • Work with product development teams to help the execution of the product development phase/gate process
  • Participate in system and subsystem requirement development and flow down to the design group. Ensure design verification and validation is adequately done
  • Performs analyses of proposals, program or product requirements and prepares responsive quality plans, procedures, and resource allocations to assure optimum quality support
  • Ensure implementation of a quality program that satisfies the requirements of the Customer
  • Program or Product Quality Plans and the Quality Management System
  • Act as the customer and management interface in resolving customer quality issues, necessary notifications while driving root cause and corrective actions on design quality issues
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and supplier quality assurance as needed. Evaluates and dispositions non-conforming material, prepares documentation for end-items delivery, CDRL reviews, government, or customer acceptance
  • Review and approve engineering and manufacturing level documentation
What You'll Bring
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline, computer science, mathematics, or statistics or similar field. Electrical engineering or software/firmware engineering preferred
  • Experience: Three or more years of related work experience. A familiarity with systems engineering, digital signal processing, RF design or product qualification is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in dynamic, highly diverse, cross discipline teams
  • Strong communication skills (written verbal, visual), interpersonal skills, (listening, group facilitation), able to persuade, motivate or energize others at all levels of the organization
  • Some travel required (10%) to provide support for field tests, demonstrations and customer meetings
Ways to Stand Out - Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in the design and development of complex radar, communication, and/or electronic warfare systems, including system-of-systems is a plus
  • Experience in a regulatory capacity, understand various statutory requirements for regions such as the EU, Japan, Eastern Europe and the Middle East is a plus
  • Experience in commodity classifications of military products (ITAR, EAR, etc) is a plus

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $82,000 to $96,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
