The Job Cost Engineer manages all aspects of cost reporting for projects including job set up, weekly production reporting, monthly job cost reporting, and quarterly close out reporting to company executives. The Job Cost Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all levels of management are abreast of project financial position from inception to close out.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Collaborate with the estimating and project teams to designate codes for tracking costs and quantities for work in the field.

•Collect weekly quantities and progress details from project managers and field engineers.

•Analyze project cost/progress and produce weekly reports for supervision and executives.

•Audit and review job cost and revenue projections.

•Maintain contracts with contract change orders, subcontract change orders, budget moves and job cost moves.

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field required.

•Strong accounting / financial reporting background preferred.

•Significant attention to detail.

•Ability to rapidly adapt to a variety of software applications.

•Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Drug-free employer.

Compensation:

Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.

Cost Engineer I - $52,000-$78,000

Cost Engineer II - $68,000-$102,000

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
