Syracuse University Associate Director for BIPOC Student Success in Syracuse, New York

The Associate Director of BIPOC Student Success will work to provide a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment committed to the success of all students and to enhance a shared sense of belonging. This work will include organizing programs that enhance students' capacity for critical thought around issues of diversity and inclusion, as well as their ability to engage across differences and create inclusive spaces. In this role the associate director will have direct oversight of supportive spaces for marginalized students, housed within the Intercultural Collective (113 Euclid and the Barner McDuffie House). This work functions under an intersectional lens and will be highly collaborative with other offices in the Intercultural Collective (Center for International Services, Disability Cultural Center, LGBTQ+ Resource Center, and First-Generation programming).

In this role, the Associate Director uses wellness, student development, and culturally competent frameworks to provide programming, individualized and group-based developmental advising, coaching, and other support to BIPOC students. The Assistant Director collaborates with the Executive Director to plan, implement, and evaluate unique engagement activities that promote community, fellowship, and sense of belonging among BIPOC students
