Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Syracuse client of his that has great work life balance and solid benefits. This Accounts Payable Specialist position is a new position for the organization that has been growing a lot. In this role, you will be handling the company's payment procedures, ensuring the precision of financial documents and fostering strong relationships with both vendors and internal team members within the service industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Keeping up-to-date vendor files and payment records

• Addressing discrepancies with vendors, resolving issues, and guaranteeing timely payments

• Preparing and processing various payment methods such as electronic fund transfers, wire transfers, and check payments

• Adhering to payment schedules and company policies

• Performing accounts payable transactions reconciliation, vendor statements, and resolving account discrepancies.

• Assisting with activities related to accounts payable during month-end and year-end closings

• Generating accounts payable reports including aging reports and cash flow projections

• Providing necessary data for audits and financial reviews

• Ensuring adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary, demonstrating a familiarity with the fundamental concepts and processes.
