Description

Chris Preble from Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working with a Syracuse client of his that is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Accountant. If you have AP experience and a good personality, this could be a good opportunity for you. This position is with an employer in our area that has a lot of stability and a track record of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.

• Sort, code, and match invoices.

• Set invoices up for payment.

• Enter and upload invoices into the system.

Payment Processing:

• Prepare and perform check runs.

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.

Vendor Relations:

• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

• Assist in maintaining vendor statements and account reconciliations.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

• Assist with month-end closing.

• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Continuous Improvement:

• Recommend and implement process improvements.

• Assist with special projects as needed.

  Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Previous experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
