DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Region Outreach and Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing aquatic resource education programs in both the Northeast region and statewide for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Educational programs under this position support the agency's mission, strategic plan, and the R3 (recruitment, retention, and reactivation of anglers and boaters) in Pennsylvania. This position primarily serves 11 counties in the Northeastern part of the state. Additional responsibilities include: Representing the agency at various public gatherings and promotional events Generating lesson plans, curriculum, and presentations Collaborating with agency personnel to ensure proper administration of grant funds Supervising region education staff, instructors, and volunteers Acting as liaison for organizations engaged in aquatic resource conservation, recreation, angler education, boating education, travel, and related tourism Coordinating instructor trainings

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work. Travel may be required as needed. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Sweet Valley. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in the administration, planning, or development of aquatic resources programs that included one year of experience in the development and implementation of aquatic resources education programs; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which must include one year of experience in the development and implementation of aquatic resources education programs.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
