We're seeking a Manual Machinist for a premier Industrial equipment and machinery manufacturing company in the Swedesboro NJ area.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity and we're hiring immediately! The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes, mills, grinders and other machining tools to manufacture and repair precision components. Shift/Pay: 5 Days a week

6:00AM - 4:00PM@ Monday-Friday Must be comfortable with weekly OT & Saturdays as Needed

Salary 70,000-80,000K depending on experience

Job Description

Perform layouts, set up, and operate conventional machine tools as required. Read and interpret all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Design setup methods where none exist and instruct other shop personnel on proper machining techniques. Continually improve methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Manual Mill and Lathe Experience

• Ability to operate Horizontal Boring Mill

• Blueprint reading

• Manual machining

• Use of calipers and micrometers

• Grinder operation

• Machine shop experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training

• Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections

• Ability to set up machine tools: ID/OD Grinders, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, Planer Mill

• Four years of experience in machine shop operations

• Willingness to work in a team environment

• Openness to working overtime as required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
