Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

Job Description

Responsible for completing all general maintenance tasks with a focus on mechanical aptitude and the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Grind metal shelving systems

• Assemble components, machines, and racking systems

• Perform painting and other general cosmetic maintenance/repairs

• Ensure the working environment is clean and safe

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to operate hand and power tools

• Basic mechanical skills

• Ability to take direction and execute job lists

• Proficiency in using a tape measure, grinder, and painting tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

• Attention to detail

• Ability to read and comprehend work orders and procedures in English

• Reliable, on-site attendance

• Willingness to learn and be cross-trained

• Flexibility and multitasking abilities

• Effective communication skills in English

• Willingness to work overtime, including occasional Saturday mornings

Work Environment

Work in an environmentally friendly shop and warehouse location with cement floors, daylight, and seasonally adjusted temperatures. Be aware of overhead cranes, moving fork trucks, and occasional welding arcs. Exposure to paints, solvents, degreasers, adhesives/sealants, and oil is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
