Adecco is recruiting for a Bookkeeper for a direct-hire opportunity in Swanton, VT. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing accounts, and supporting essential accounting and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Manage fixed assets and perform regular reconciliations.

  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Handle project costing activities, ensuring accurate allocation of costs.

  • Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely processing.

  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments, and manage payroll implementation.

  • Support Human Resources functions, including employee-related tasks and social functions.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls for all accounting processes.

  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.

  • Perform annual physical inventory reconciliation and reporting.

  • Coordinate cash flow forecasting and ensure proper management of financial resources.

  • Assist in preparing the annual budget in collaboration with multiple departments.

  • Provide administrative support to the plant or manufacturing manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR) functions.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting.

  • Experience with account reconciliation and fixed asset management.

  • Strong background in month-end and year-end closings.

  • Payroll and Human Resources experience required.

  • Experience in the textile industry is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
