Job Description

Architect responsible for web application architectural design and development, performance, availability, and reliability. Provides consultation and strategic recommendations by quickly assessing and remediating complex platform availability issues. Performs hands-on software development, typically spending at least 50-60% of time writing code and unit tests, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testing. Additionally, mentors team members and works closely with product managers and owners to define requirements and implement versatile solutions to development problems. Performs all aspects of software development for assigned applications, including developing prototypes, writing new code and creating API's. Performs ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement. Brings a culture of innovation and ideas, a good attitude, communication and willingness to learn and collaborate.

Pay is $85/hr

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience

Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and automated testing.

Proven experience driving solution architecture

Expertise in Java technologies and Kotlin

RESTful API development experience building microservices architecture

Experience with Oracle or Couchbase technologies

Experience with continuous integration/deployment (Git, Jenkins, Maven, XLR, Mockito, JMeter) Knowledge of big data technologies like Hive and Google Cloud solutions null
